Waverly United for Action Waverly United for Action began as Valley Park Neighborhood Association, a member of the Columbia Council of Neighborhoods. It registered as a non-profit organization with the Secretary of State in 1986 and became Waverly United for Action Inc. It offered tutorial services from the Columbia Urban League and Brenn. Patch Brake Line Leak. An Elementary in 1983, and a neighborhood parent/teacher meeting for parents who couldn’t attend regular school meetings in 1984. Throughout 1991-1992 it focused on neighborhood history and culture, but in 1993 refocused on youth. There was a youth job fair, a program for at-risk youth, and academic awards for local high school students.
