Mod_evasive Apache 2.2 Rating: 3,6/5 777reviews

Hi there, i see that mod_evasive is not supported by Easy Apache for Apache 2.4 I don't think that the original creator of this module will keep this updated. However there are many forks about this module for the new version of Apache.

PS: It's quite easy to fork because the compatibility issue is due to change in namevars of Apache. Then make it work is just a matter of renaming 2 or 3 keywords in the module. However the project of mod_evasive has been forked in order to be compatibile with Apache 2.4.

I see many server having big issue since I update from 2. Hp 6300. 2 to 2.4 because they miss this module. Please re-add this module to EA for 2.4. If you need one of the forked module I found this link usefull: Thanks, Massimiliano Cuttini - - - Updated - - - I have open a feature request here: http://features.cpanel.net/responses/add-mod-evasive-in-apache-24.

Mod_evasive for apache 2.2 - Hi, I need to mod_evasive for 2.2.x apache. Please provide download link. Mod_evasive is an evasive maneuvers module for Apache to provide evasive action in the event of an HTTP DoS or DDoS attack or brute force attack. It is also designed. The Apache module site only lists modules provided with Apache official source code. Third party modules (like mod_evasive) are not listed there. The documentation for each third party module is usually done by their authors, and sometimes documentation is too brief or even lacking.

Mod_evasive Apache 2.2

Our website allows the public to query data. No data entry. They are supposed to use the.html screens to plug in their search parameters but it seems there is someone who may have a program performing multiple queries one right after the other so much that it makes it impossible for others to complete any queries. No one can access the database.

Apache 2.2 Download

We are using Apache 2.2.4 on AIX 5L. I found a module that one could download into Apache called mod_evasive that limits how quickly a person can submit query requests. We figured we'd give it a try. Vjdirector Keygen. I've followed the instructions and have the file ready for the 'apxs' portion of the instructions (I think this is the compile) however I continually receive a syntax error that I can't figure out.

I'm not a 'C' programmer (I think this module is a C program) and have little experience with Apache so please speak slowly. Here a screen shot of the error I receive: ($APACHE_ROOT is set in my root's profile as /usr/local/Apache2.2.4) -------------------------- ---------- ------- # $APACHE_ROOT/bin/apxs -i -a -c /mod_evasive/mod_evasive20.c /usr/local/apache2.2.4/bui ld/libtool --silent --mode=compile cc -prefer-pic -U __STR__ -D_THREAD_SAFE -D_USE_IRS -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -g -qHALT=E -I/usr/local /apache2.2.4/include -I/usr/local/apache2.2.4/i nclude -I/usr/local/apache2.2. 4/include -c -o /mod_evasive/mod_evasive20.lo /mod_evasive/mod_evasive20.c && touch /mod_evasive/mod_evasive20.slo '/mod_evasive/mod_evasive2 0.c', line 97.24: 1506-046 (S) Syntax error. Apxs:Error: Command failed with rc=65536. -------------------------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- I looked inside the mod_evasive20.c file and line 97 appears this way: struct ntt *hit_list; // Our dynamic hash table I removed the '// Our dynamic hash table' text but then I receive multiple errors beginning with an invalid '/' on a line that contains no '/'. Am I looking at the wrong file? I emailed the guy at (where I got the mod_evasive download) but he hasn't answered.
